With the recent developments in Afghanistan, thousands of Afghans have fled and continue to feel their homeland. Many were airlifted to Western countries while many more had to flee by foot, ending up in bordering countries. Here at Silk Road Catalyst, we are committed to doing what we can to serve those who fled on foot into bordering countries.
Recently, an SRC team traveled to one of the many places where Afghans have fled to, where they got to spend time with some of these families. They discovered many things including their lack and need of crucial access to adequate food and clean water. While we cannot meet the needs of tens of thousands, we are committed to assisting 100 families (700 people).
By God's grace, we have reached our initial goal of $7000 USD and then some. And as of September 24, 2021, we have delivered aid supplies to the first 50 Afghan families with the second delivery scheduled to arrive later in October for the remainder of the 100 families.
