Serve in Prayer

Prayer is the backbone of all ministry. It is essential to everything we do. Prayer is like fuel. While action is always needed in ministry, prayer must be our beginning place, our continual place, and our ending spot with every endeavor we take on. And we are called to pray in the ministry God has given us, we invite you to consider taking part as well. Currently, there are several ways you can pray with and for us.

  • Receive our newsletter. This is a great way to learn what our staff, volunteers, and field missionaries are involved in, what God is doing, and how you can pray. To begin receiving in your inbox, click here.

  • Prayer and Fasting Teams. These are teams that pray for short-term mission teams and/or special projects/assignments facilitated by our field missionaries. To learn about these opportunities, you will need to receive regular updates from any of our missionaries or subscribe to the overall ministry newsletter to stay apprised.

  • Local E:17 Intercessors. Join your family, friends, and local church together on a regular basis to pray. Pray for our various ministry efforts as well as for the needs of our staff, volunteers, and field personnel.

E:17 is derived from Exodus 17 where Aaron and Hur held up the arms of Moses as he prayed during the battle against Amalek. Moses' responsibility was praying against the battle. Aaron and Hur's responsibility was ensuring Moses had what he needed as he prayed. In this case, they held his arms in the air while he prayed.

Yes, we want our friends and partners to pray for the ministry taking place. But, we also need, maybe even more so, intercessors who will serve as our Aaron and Hur as we battle in the realm of ministry God has given us collectively as an organization and individually as field workers. By serving as an E:17 Intercessor, you will serve a vital role in this spiritual war, fighting for the souls of the Gospel Deprived.

If you would like to organize an E:17 team in your locale, reach out to us so we can discuss how to move forward.

Serve in Giving

Giving toward the expansion of God's Kingdom is an act of worship. Not everyone is called to go so those who give serve a vital role by "Lowering the Ropes" for those God has designed to serve cross-culturally. At SRC, we have multiple areas where you can invest financially into God's Kingdom.

  • SRC the Organization. Without support for SRC, our field missionaries are hindered in their ministry because we provide our missionaries with Member Care, Training & Mentoring, as well as, support in Support Raising, Security & Contingency, Field Strategy, and Administrative. From support staff to meeting pressing needs across the ministry, giving to SRC in general serves a vital role in the overall ministry health of our missionaries.

  • SRC Missionaries. Our missionaries need individuals, churches and businesses to partner with them as one of their financial partners. Each missionary's team of financial partners serve a vital role to ensure the missionary is able to sustain themselves and their families, operate their field ministries, and ensure they have the proper funding to take part in needed conferences, retreats and other activities that assist with their overall personal health to ensure they endure the long-term.

  • Silk Road Fund.  This is a dedicated fund which serves two areas that are special to our heart at SRC.

First, we leverage this fund to fund, in part, projects headed up by any of our missionaries (Western or Global South) or in areas where SRC has an interest. This can include outreaches, humanitarian efforts, and more.

Second, a special part of our DNA is our intentional efforts to mobilize, equip, and send Global South missionaries. Yet, one of the largest obstacles Global South workers face is the lack of adequate finances. While we believe God will provide for anyone He calls to go and every one of our missionaries are expected to be intentional and active in raising support for themselves, we also believe we should do our part to help supplement as God leads. This fund helps us do just that and your support of it increases our capacity to do just this.
