This past week, Ezra (SRC leader in South Asia) traveled to a rural community in South Asia. He hosted Christmas parties and shared the Gospel with Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists. Five people were baptized on the spot while many others made an initial profession of faith. One such man at the event is a Principal at a local school. He possessed a negative view of Christians although his engagement with them had been minimal at best. His views were driven mostly by hearsay. After the Christmas party, the Principal told Ezra that his view of Christians had suddenly changed. It changed because he observed Ezra and other Christians caring for and loving those in need within his community. This change in perception led the Principal to announce that he will begin working with local churches to develop additional educational opportunities within his community. What’s great about the work we do at SRC is this. While our number one focus is disciple making and church planting, our work often bleeds over into other areas of society like improving education, job skills training and so forth. And each of these areas are crucial needs in every society. By God's grace, He has positioned us strategically among the Gospel-Deprived so as 2021 closes, I ask that you petition God for comfort for these lost souls. And as this is a time for giving, consider SRC in our year end giving so we can launch well into 2022.
