Fury, Miracles and then Repentance

Amos* enters this gospel-deprived village sharing the gospel when suddenly a man surrenders his life to Christ. It was beautiful and sudden, considering the reality that this man’s community lacks a sufficient gospel witness. To give you a clearer picture, the vast majority in this community has yet to hear the gospel one time.

In all the joy taking shape, this man’s wife was not so excited. In fact, to describe her demeanor as irate is an understatement. She’s irate because they are from a Muslim community and leaving one’s family religion meant turning one’s back on their family.

During Amos’ visit, his team prays over the sick, watching miracles happen right before their very eyes. And if you think this is some out of the box crazy group who believes they can walk around and heal anyone they prayer over, they are not. Theologically, they are the polar opposite. Yet, God supernaturally begins healing people.

After an amazing time of outreach, Amos and his team left the village but returned the following morning. To their amazement, the wife who was irate was now repenting and surrendering her life to Christ. I asked what transpired and this is what Amos told me.

The lady experienced two crucial moments that opened her eyes. The first was the love she experienced from Amos and his team. Despite her anger, she noticed something different in them, something she could not explain away. Then, the miracles began happening. She observed the power of God on display in a real and tangible way. As a result, she could no longer deny the truth of Christ. She saw God’s power, not metaphorically but literally, coupled with the proclamation of the gospel and the love displayed by Amos and his team.

It’s been reported that more Muslims have come to Christ in the past 2-3 decades than throughout the entire history of Islam prior to recent history. It’s also reported that 80% of all Muslims who come to Christ have a dream or vision that is instrumental in leading them to someone who shares the gospel with them. It's clearly evident, God is moving in extraordinary ways which leads me to this question. Will you be involved?

You can go or send. You can be the hands and feet or you can send the hands and feet. Regardless of your desire, we need you. To be part of what God is doing among the gospel-deprived, click on this link >>> silkroadcatalyst.com/give
